Sharing Saturday: A look at our September 2016 | Dubai Family Photographer

September is my birthday month, and this year, I chose to gift myself something intangible. I gave myself a challenge of taking one photo a day. I have watched numerous other friends participate in this type of challenge, including many photographers who I follow online and whose work I admire very much. And while I have to admit, I was initially terrified of this turning into something that will cause me more stress than I need, I am so happy to say that I've just completed my very first month, and it was FAR from that. I have thoroughly enjoyed this, and I am so happy to have something to look back on that will remind me of the little details that have happened during the month of September this year. If you're into photography, or if you're looking to improve your skills, this is a GREAT way to do just that. It doesn't have to be a full-blown 365 challenge, you can start with a week and build on that, maybe do a month, etc. If you find you need some motivation to get you started, get in touch with me! I'd love for us to do this together :)

Here's a look at my family's September. Enjoy!

Inspiration Thursday: LensCulture Street Awards | Dubai Family Photographer

So, on Thursdays, I will look back at the past week and share with you some highlights from the world of photography that have piqued my interest, or possibly even some interesting article that I think is worth checking out, like this photo, that was snapped by Barbara Kinney, of Hilary Clinton during a recent campaign event on September 21, in Orlando. Isn't it hilarious?!

This week, I'm sharing with you the fascinating results for LensCulture's (international) competition/call for Street Photography submissions. The entries came in from 141 different countries and gave an incredible look at the vast differences in urban life all over the world. This is a page worth setting some time for with your morning/evening coffee to admire all the amazing work that is on there.

It was very difficult to choose, but here are my favorites (in no particular order.) Enjoy!
