Inspiration Thursday: Street Photography with a Twist | Dubai Family Photographer

I had another article lined up to share with you guys this week, but when an article highlighting street photographer Melissa Breyer's work popped up on my feed, I just couldn't resist. I'm a huge fan of emotive black and white photography, and when it's paired with street photography, then to me, this just hits all sorts of jackpots.

Melissa explores a common theme of contemplation and introspection amidst the hustle and bustle of every day life in New York city. Her work is amazing. Below are some of my favorite images. You can check out the rest of her work here.

Sharing Saturday: A look at our September 2016 | Dubai Family Photographer

September is my birthday month, and this year, I chose to gift myself something intangible. I gave myself a challenge of taking one photo a day. I have watched numerous other friends participate in this type of challenge, including many photographers who I follow online and whose work I admire very much. And while I have to admit, I was initially terrified of this turning into something that will cause me more stress than I need, I am so happy to say that I've just completed my very first month, and it was FAR from that. I have thoroughly enjoyed this, and I am so happy to have something to look back on that will remind me of the little details that have happened during the month of September this year. If you're into photography, or if you're looking to improve your skills, this is a GREAT way to do just that. It doesn't have to be a full-blown 365 challenge, you can start with a week and build on that, maybe do a month, etc. If you find you need some motivation to get you started, get in touch with me! I'd love for us to do this together :)

Here's a look at my family's September. Enjoy!
