Super Saturday: Wild Hearts Can't be Broken | Dubai Family Photographer

Check out this incredibly sweet article Kelle wrote about her son. I've been following Kelle's blog for a while now, and this blog post really hit home for me because it is how I feel sometimes about my little son, Badr.

“It’s a phase, right?” I ask a mom friend whose once beautifully wild boy like Dash is all grown up and funneling his wildness into grand, world-changing efforts.

“He’s three, right?” she asks.

“Yes, three.”

Except that in our household, we are turning two. Yes, the terrible twos are finally upon us :) And I know one day I will look back and I will miss this stage of his life SO dearly, so I'm going to enjoy this while it lasts and hope that he, too, will grow up to be the kind, charming, responsible young man that I hope he will be.

Inspiration Thursday: The Power of Documentary | Al-Ain Family Photographer

I came across this article a few days ago. It's about a photographer that tracked down people he photographed in the street 40 years ago. At first, I couldn't believe it, but when I actually saw the picture.. my God. These are the people from the photos, only much, much younger.

It was very interesting to see how some people are still pretty much the same, despite all the years. Some people took a turn for the worse. Some people "appear to" have turned their lives around. This is the power of documentary photography.

Made me really realize, how, at least for me, it is very important to set goals in life. And how, if you don't know where you're going, you will end up going nowhere at all. I am visualizing a new year full of family photography sessions here in Dubai, lots of newborn photography and hopefully some glamour sessions to add to the mix. I guess it's time to hit those planners. 2017 here we come!

Have a great weekend everyone.
